As the ICC Women’s t20 World Cup comes close, former Indian cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy has talked about the role spinners are going to play for India, along with 27-year-old Deepti Sharma being expected the be the key to success. Since the last tournament was in Bangladesh, not many changes have been made.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n “It’s a very spin-heavy team, and we rely heavily on spinners, particularly Deepti Sharma, who has been a key bowler for us. With the fast bowlers, especially Pooja Vastrakar coming in with the semi-new ball and hitting those hard lengths, it’s worked well for India.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n “It’s all about how they start, and they need Renuka to fire, regardless of the conditions. If they manage that, I think India will be very dominant in this World Cup.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n She also expanded on how she thinks Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma will play as a turning point in Indian team as they attempt to make history in the T20 World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “She definitely will be, as her bowling is crucial. If there\u2019s any turn on offer, I think she’ll be even more deadly in those conditions. It\u2019s been over a decade now she debuted in 2014 and she’s grown as a cricketer every year. She’s reached a point where she\u2019s a vital part of the Indian team, regardless of the format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Her performance, especially with the bat, will be key. Whether she’s coming in at number seven or eight, she can get those crucial runs.
