Virat Kohli has achieved another landmark in the second T20 International match between India and Ireland at the Village, Malahide. Kohli who was out for a duck in the first match opened the batting with KL Rahul in this one. He surpassed the tally of Shoaib Malik‘s 1,989 T20I runs and is 9 runs short of completing 2,000 T20I runs. At this point Kohli is behind only Martin Guptill (2,271) and Brendon McCullum (2,140) in the list of most T20I run-scorers. Kohli reached this landmark in his 59th T20I. Trying to pull Peter Chase top-edged the ball hitting it towards deep square leg. George Dockrell took a well judged catch in the deep.
