India crushed Thailand by 9 wickets in their sixth match of the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup 2022. They chased the target of 37 runs in just six overs with the loss of one wicket.

Earlier, The Indian cricket team did extremely well with the ball as they all out Thailand for just 37 runs. Sneh Rana took three wickets in the match. Indian bowlers and fielders played wonderfully. Thailand have lost four wickets and out of them, two were runouts. The rest of the two wickets have been taken by Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana.

Sneh Rana didn’t stop there and also got Sornnarin Tippoch who could only score two runs. She then got Rosenan Kanoh for a duck.

Smriti Mandhana won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. The Indian women’s cricket team will look to test their bench strength against the Thailand women’s cricket team after booking their place in the semi-final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022.

Harmanpreet Kaur will look to give a chance to the young players of the team, who haven’t played in the tournament yet. South Africa defeated Team India in a really thrilling contest by 9 runs and gained 1-0 lead in the three match series. Sanju Samson’s valiant knock brought the Men in Blue on victory’s doorstep but it was not enough today. He played an unbeaten knock of 86 runs of 63 balls and took the match to the very last over.

Shikhar Dhawan-led India won the toss and elected to bowl first against Temba Bavuma’s South Africa. India were facing South Africa in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan gave Proteas a steady start but it came to an end by the hand of Shardul Thakur. Shardul then dismissed the Proteas skipper but it was Kuldeep Yadav who threw South Africa on backfoot as he dismissed Markram on duck. The remaining Proteas hopes were in Quinton de Kock but his knock came to an end on 48 on Ravi Bishnoi’s delivery.

David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen helped South Africa recover from a collapse and put 249 run on the scoreboard at the end of their 40 overs. Earlier,  Janneman Malan, Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram failed to make an impact and were dismissed cheaply. Quinton de Kock was the only batter who looked good in the early part of the innings and scored 48. Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav were the best bowlers from the Indian side.

Team India started rough and lost both their openers inside the first six overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan had lots of responsibility on their young shoulders. They gave team a steady start but got out in two consecutive overs. Shreyas Iyer completed his half century and was building the Indian innings alongside Sanju Samson but his knock came to an end in Lungi Ngidi’s over.

Sanju built a match changing partnership with Shardul Thakur but Lungi Ngidi’s 38th and Rabada’s 39th over took the game away from India. India needed 30 in the last over and Sanju almost made it possible. However, India fell short by 9 runs in the end.

The Indian women’s cricket team registered their third straight win in the ongoing Women T20, Asia Cup 2022 as they beat UAE Women by 104 runs.

Earlier, India scored a total of 178 runs with the loss of five wickets despite a bad start. Deepti Sharma (64) and Jemimah Rodrigues (75) played brilliantly to take India to a big total.

India women have a bad start to the match as Richa Ghosh went back into the hut in the very first over of the match. The Smriti Mandhana-led side then lost two more wickets in the first powerplay. However, Deepti Sharma and Jemimah Rodrigues rebuilt India’s innings with sublime batting. Deepti Sharma went back into the hut for 64 runs.

The Indian women’s cricket team have won their first two matches in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup 2022 and will look to continue their good run of form as they take on the United Arab Emirates women’s cricket team on Tuesday.

India started the tournament on a high with a win against Sri Lanka. In the last match, India defeated Malaysia by 30 runs due to the DLS method. Harmanpreet Kaur has been in fine form and will hope that the likes of Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues also continue their sublime run of form.

Earlier, Rain interrupted the play after Indian bowlers took two wickets against Malaysia. India scored 181 runs with the loss of four wickets against Malaysia in their second match in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup 2022.

Shafali Verma and Sabbineni Meghana gave India a quick start against Malaysia and the Indian team capitalized on it by scoring a big total. 

The Indian women’s cricket team is looking to continue its winning run in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup 2022. India are up against Malaysia in their second match of the tournament.

They started their Women’s Asia Cup 2022 campaign on a winning note as they defeated Sri Lanka by 41 runs. Jemimah Rodrigues won the ‘PLAYER OF THE MATCH’ award due to a gritty 76 runs inning. She will look to continue her top performance in the second match as well.

Harmanpreet Singh scored a six as India won the first game by seven wickets to go 1-0 up in the three-match series against England.

Earlier, Smriti Mandhana failed to score a century against England. An important half-century by Alice Richardson has helped England set a target of 228 for India to win. Mumbai lost the final of the tournament despite Sarfaraz Khan’s century and the batter also felt disappointed after the match. “Our job is to play good cricket. Things will be good for us sometimes and we will struggle at times but we should always follow our process which will eventually reap rewards,” said Sarfaraz Khan in an exclusive interview with Cricket Country.

He stated, “My father has always told me that I should follow the process. If I follow that properly, the rest of the things will fall into place automatically. I only focus on my performances. My father has trained me well for the swing ball in the last 4-5 years and my technique is perfect now, so I don’t think I have a weak spot in my cricket right now.”

Like any other Indian cricketer, Sarfaraz Khan also wants to play for Team India. He idolises Sachin Tendulkar and tries to learn from other great batters such as AB de Villiers as well.

He said, “Sachin Tendulkar has always been my idol. I have been following Sachin sir since childhood. I like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as well. Even I love watching AB De Villiers as well and try to learn from him. I met Sachin sir during an indoor cricket event and talked to me too. I was just 10-11 years old at that time and felt really proud.”

Sarfaraz Khan feels that India still have the best cricket team in the world despite dismal performance in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 and he is ready to be a part of it. India crashed out of the tournament after losing back-to-back games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, respectively in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup.

Sarfaraz Khan remarked, “I think we have done well in the ongoing Asia Cup. You lose some games and win some. It is a part of the game. Our Indian team is the strongest team in the world and we have some wonderful players. I don’t have to tell you that we are the number one team in the world and up-downs are a part of the game.”

He added, “I am completely ready to play for the Indian cricket team if I get a chance to show my worth. I will play for the Indian cricket team the way I have been playing in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier Lague. I will try to score runs in international cricket and continue my good performance.”

Sarfaraz Khan also backed Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh, who was at the centre of criticism after the team lost the first match of the Super 4 stage against Pakistan. The Indian bowler dropped a catch in the 19th over of the match and faced a lot of trolls and criticism on social media after the match.

“We cricketers don’t think a lot about what other people are saying about us. These things don’t affect us at all. ”

Sarfaraz Khan is currently playing for India A against New Zealand A and will look to score big runs to grab the eyes of selectors once again.
