Mitchell Marsh made his Test debut for Australia against Pakistan in the first Test on Wednesday. He became the third member of the Marsh family to represent Australia in Test and One-Day cricket. His father Geoff and elder brother Shaun have turned out for Australia before.
Steve O’ Keefe, the left-arm off-spinner, made his Test debut for Australia on Wednesday in the first match of the two-Test series against Pakistan. O’ Keefe is the first Australian player born in Malaysia to turn out for Australia.
O’ Keefe plays for New South Wales in the Australia domestic competition. The 29-year old has 128 wickets in First class cricket. In the past few years after Shane Warne’s retirement Australia have handed out caps to many spinners in the hope that they find a replacement for the spin legend. They, however, are to yet to find a replacement for him.
