The BCCI is planning to make the online World Cup ticket sales live on August 10, as per several reports in the media. The BCCI is likely to make the announcement of the ticket sale dates along with the revised schedule for the World Cup 2023.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah recently revealed that a few member boards have requested for the modified schedule due to logistic challenges.
“We have received requests from 2-3 ICC member boards participating in the World Cup to make some changes to the schedule,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah told reporters after a meeting with the ten staging associations in Delhi on Thursday. “What’s important for us is we don’t have to make any change in venues.”
How To Book Tickets For IND vs PAK Match In Ahmedabad?
The India vs Pakistan match is set to take place on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, however, there are chances that the match may be preponed to October 14 due to Navratri. The tickets are likely to be available on online ticket booking platforms Paytm and Bookmyshow. India vs Pakistan match tickets and final tickets will be available on Bookmyshow while the semifinal tickets will be available on Paytm.
Physical Tickets Mandatory To Enter Stadium
Jay Shah also confirmed that e-tickets won’t be accepted at the venues. He revealed that fans who book tickets online will have to produce physical copies of the tickets to enter the stadium.
“We cannot do e-tickets this time. We would make arrangements so that tickets can be redeemed at various places a week before. It would make things hassle-free,” ANI quoted him as saying.

“It will get difficult to manage e-ticket at high-capacity venue like Ahmedabad and Lucknow. Our plan is to start using e-tickets more in bilaterals first and then take it to multi-nation events like the World Cup.”
