NEW ZEALAND captain Kane Williamson recently shared a video on his Instagram where the talismanic batter was seen playing in the nets wearing his country’s jersey on Tuesday.

Williamson got injured in India during the first match of Indian Premier League between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans.

The 32-year old batter suffered an ACL injury on his right knee while attempting to take a catch.

He returned home from India on crutches and subsequently underwent surgery, which was deemed a success.

He underwent surgery in New Zealand shortly afterward and is currently in the early stages of his rehabilitation, racing against time to be fit for the World Cup.

Now, Williamson was spotted playing in the nets and there is a speculation among fans that the batter will play the ODI World Cup 2023, Here is the video:

Ealier, New Zealand coach said that Kane will take the final call for his participation in the World Cup and the team will give him every chance.

“He’s going very, very well, probably slightly ahead of where we expected him to be at this stage,” he said. “We will leave the call on Kane for as late as we can to give him every chance of being there, he’s obviously a quality player” Gary told Newshubsports.

“That’s exciting for us that he still is within a chance. I can’t say more than that, because I don’t know more than that right now and it will be a last-minute call” added Gary.
