Though Indian batters were found struggling against spin during the ODI series against Bangladesh last month, they have been spotted practicing very hard against spin before the first Test against Bangladesh.
Though they practised on a pace-friendly soil on the first two days, the team now changed to a black soil surface on third day.
The first Test is going to be played on the red-soil pitch which offers advantage to pacers, but the black-soil pitch is to assist the spinners, which is the reason India has taken extra care to practice spin.
The unusual pattern of weather in Chennai can possibly affect the nature of the game as the game goes further down the line.
Though the first four days are expected to be cloudy, rain showers are expected on Day 5.
In Sri Lanka, players like Shubhman Gill, Rishabh Pant, and even star batter Virat Kohli were not able to face spin. According to a report in PTI, some of the India batters were spotted practicing hard against spin, since they know that players like Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz are there in Bangladesh team.
Shakib and Miraz turned out to be troublesome for Pakistan batters in Rawalpindi, and it won’t be surprising if it goes the same way against Indians as well.

The Indian batters had a stretched session on Tuesday since Wednesday is expected to be an optional one. There are high chances for many of the players not turning up a day ahead of the game.
