Third session of the day begins
The final session of the first day has begun here in Sydney with India in desperate need of putting runs on the board as the Australian bowlers dominated the first 2 sessions. The duo of Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja will be looking to increase their stand of 35 runs and take the visitors into a comfortable position.
Second session comes to an end
The second session of the first day has concluded here in Sydney with India on 107/4 after 50 overs. Pant is unbeaten on 32 while Jadeja is unbeaten on 11 as the duo’s partnership of 35 runs has steadied India’s innings a bit.
Score update
After 47 overs, India have managed to reach the total of 95/4. While Rishabh Pant is batting on 25, Ravindra Jadeja is batting on 6. These 2 will have to form a big partnership if India has to post a decent first-inning total otherwise Australia will remain in control.
