Indian captain Rohit Sharma returning to the squad after missing the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has not gone well. After the team's 10-wicket defeat to Australia in Adelaide, Rohit lost his fourth consecutive Test match as captain of India.

Rohit got added to the embarrassing list that has some well-known names. A lot of captains from India have dropped four Test matches back-to-back. The five other Indian captains who have lost four or more back-to-back Test marches are Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Datta Gaekwad, and MK Pataudi.
