In the U19 Men’s CWC, the top three teams from each of the first four groups have advanced to the Super Six, the next round of action.This is your rundown of every important information for what looks to be an exciting round of fixtures.

Recap of the tournament
So far, the event has been quite exciting. There have been thrilling low-scoring games and high-scoring matches, fearless batting efforts and explosive bowling spells.

India emerged victorious from Group A, having won three comfortable matches in Bloemfontein. Bangladesh bounced back from their defeat to India with consecutive victories, and Ireland secured their third spot in the tournament after easily defeating the USA in their opening match.

Excellent individual and team efforts were seen in Group B during a number of close games where the top three teams ended with equal points. Along with hosts South Africa, England, and the West Indies, who all advanced ahead of fourth-placed Scotland, they each won two and lost one.

Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, and Australia advance to the Super Six in Group C. Australia defeated Namibia and Sri Lanka in their group stage matches, going undefeated overall. Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka came in second and third, respectively.

Two of the tournament’s most thrilling finishes came down to the wire in Group D’s two matchups. Pakistan finished first in the league, but to guarantee their places in the Super Six, New Zealand and Nepal had to fight past Afghanistan in one-wicket victories.

Best in Class
Ubaid Shah and Shahzaib Khan of Pakistan have shown notable performance in the runs and wickets categories, respectively.

With 223 runs to his name, Shahzaib leads all run scorers going into the Super Six stage. He has been the cornerstone of Pakistan’s batting order thus far. Jewel Andrew of the West Indies (196 runs) and Musheer Khan of India (194 runs) trail him.

Shahzaib, a rock at the top, has opened his innings by appearing calm and steady before launching into a wide range of attacking blows. Due to his heroics in winning the matches against Afghanistan (106 from 126 balls) and New Zealand (80 from 86 balls), he has now been named Player of the Match twice.

Pakistan’s new-ball phenomena has been Ubaid. With nine wickets, he leads all other scorers in the tournament, including Afghanistan’s Khalil Ahmed, Nepal’s Aakash Chand, India’s Saumy Pandey, and Naman Tiwari, who each have eight wickets.In his team’s early victories, the Pakistani spinner has produced an amazing amount of movement with the ball, claiming four wickets for 26 against Afghanistan and three for 30 against New Zealand.

Khan Musheer (India)
Musheer Khan has been India’s batting staple in the competition thus far, with shots all over the wicket. He scored 118 off 106 balls for a spectacular century against Ireland, and then he hit 73 off 76 balls against the USA. Musheer has been the engine in an Indian lineup with a surplus of anchors, and he has performed admirably.

So far in the tournament, Musheer is the third-highest run scorer with 194 runs in three innings at an average of 64.66. Interestingly, in the three games, he has also scored at a strike rate of over 100.

After being acquainted with the pitch at Bloemfontein’s Mangaung Oval, Musheer turns his attention to Nepal and New Zealand during the Super Six phases. Musheer need look no further for inspiration. In the U19 Men’s CWC, his brother Sarfaraz Khan holds the record with the most scores of fifty or more (7). Musheer has now recorded two wins in three games, which is more than a respectable start to the competition.

Protecting the winners India is one of the favourites to go to the next round after securing two wins by margins of more than 200 runs. They took all four points into the Super Sixes. But New Zealand has already proven that they are resilient, and they might pull a surprise in Bloemfontein.

The youthful Blackcaps have a plenty of skill, particularly in the area of pace. India’s top-order, which has so far taken its time to settle in, could be troubled by Matt Rowe and Mason Clarke, who have already drawn attention.
