India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya was not seen to be at his best during the 2nd T20I against South Africa. India lost early wickets in the match and the players were struggling to score big numbers for the team. Hardik Pandya was a certain player who had played a lot of dot balls. During the final overs, Pandya was willing to take most of the strike for himself, rather than letting Arshdeep Singh play.

During the 19th over, Hardik might have felt confident from himself, as he made a solid statement to Arshdeep . Pandya told Arshdeep to “enjoy from the other end now,” which indicated that he as the intention to face the rest of the balls.

Pandya was batting on 33 off 35 balls, but he ended up struggling against the bowling from Gerald Coetzee and Marco Jansen. He did not touch a single ball in the penultimate over. In the final over, he got dropped twice and was refusing to take a single for four deliveries.

On the penultimate delivery, he snatched couple of runs and finished the innings with a boundary. Though he told Arshdeep to stay at the non-striker’s end, Pandya only managed to score 6 runs in 10 balls.
