Woman to head 2012 T20 World Cup committee
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Tuesday appointed Upeka Abeykoon-Nell as the Tournament Director of next year's Twenty20 World Cup in the country.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Tuesday appointed Upeka Abeykoon-Nell as the Tournament Director of next year’s Twenty20 World Cup in the country.
She will be heading the organising team of the event, to be held from September 18 to October 7 at four different venues.
Abeykoon-Nell, a corporate PR personality, comes with a wealth of experience in event management. Her Australian husband Stan coached Sri Lanka ‘A” team in 2004.
